giving thanks with the shafers






this year was quite something. my nana has been in the hospital for a few weeks and was released last Friday. we are so thankful that she is alive and is recovering quickly. all glory be to The Lord! (Check psalm 50:14-15 for a fabulous verse). 

these photos are a product of an attempt to be artsy. featured is my love for cranberries, my mother's lovely table decorations, pretty flowers, bread, and the wishbone :) :) :)

While the accuracy of this data can be called into question, the point still stands: sexual assault happens in this country at an alarming rate. happy new year! i hope your holiday season was marvelous and special! for christmas i got a tripod and a remote for my camera (nikon d40) and today my friend amelia and i put them to use. what's a hike without hula, she jusy had to come with us, and the fresh snow on the mountains provided a perfect backdrop. have a wonderful 2015!
